Data deletion instructions
How to stop BotPulsar accessing your Meta assets, and how to have the data we hold about you deleted.
Effective 10 August 2026. Last updated 10 August 2026.
To delete your data: disconnect your WhatsApp number in BotPulsar, remove BotPulsar from your Meta Business account's connected apps, then email support@botpulsar.com from the account owner's address asking for deletion. We acknowledge within 72 hours and delete or irreversibly anonymise workspace data within 30 days. Billing and tax records are the one exception — Indian law requires us to keep them for up to eight years.
Step 1 — Disconnect your WhatsApp number
Sign in at app.botpulsar.com as a workspace owner or admin, open Channels, select the WhatsApp number and choose Disconnect.
This immediately stops all sending, marks the stored Meta access credential as revoked so no worker can use it again, and marks the number and WhatsApp Business Account as disconnected in your workspace.
Step 2 — Remove BotPulsar from your Meta Business account
BotPulsar's access to your WhatsApp Business Account was granted by you, through Meta's own Embedded Signup. Only you can withdraw it on Meta's side.
- Open Meta Business Settings at business.facebook.com/settings.
- Go to Integrations, then Connected apps.
- Select BotPulsar and choose Remove.
Step 3 — Ask us to delete your workspace data
Email support@botpulsar.com from the email address of the workspace owner, with the subject “Data deletion request” and the name of the workspace. Requests from any other address are verified with the owner before we act, so that nobody can delete a business's data on its behalf.
We acknowledge within 72 hours and confirm by email once deletion is complete, within 30 days of the verified request.
What is deleted
- Contacts, conversations and message history held in your workspace.
- Templates, campaigns, automations, AI agents and their knowledge sources.
- Uploaded media and files.
- Stored Meta access credentials for your WhatsApp Business Account.
- Team member accounts that belong only to your workspace.
What is kept, and why
- Invoices and payment records — kept for up to eight years because Indian tax law requires it.
- Security audit entries — who did what and when, with no message content, kept for their retention period so that abuse can still be investigated.
- Messages on Meta's side — WhatsApp message content that passed through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform is held by Meta under Meta's own terms. Deleting your BotPulsar workspace does not delete it from Meta.
If a business messaged you on WhatsApp
If you are a customer of a business that uses BotPulsar, that business controls your data. Reply STOP to its WhatsApp number to stop further messages, and ask the business directly to delete your details.
You can also email support@botpulsar.com with the business's name and your phone number. We will pass the request to the business and confirm to you once it has been handled.

Data deletion questions
How do I delete the data BotPulsar received from Meta?
Disconnect your WhatsApp number in BotPulsar under Channels, remove BotPulsar from Connected apps in Meta Business Settings, then email support@botpulsar.com from the workspace owner's address asking for deletion. Deletion is completed within 30 days.
Does disconnecting my number delete my data?
No. Disconnecting stops BotPulsar using your Meta access immediately, but your contacts and message history stay in the workspace so you can export them. Deletion happens when you ask for it in step 3.
Will deleting my BotPulsar data delete my WhatsApp number?
No. Your WhatsApp Business Account and number live in your own Meta Business account. You keep them and can connect them to another provider.
How long does deletion take?
We acknowledge within 72 hours and complete deletion within 30 days of a verified request. Invoices are kept for up to eight years because the law requires it.
