Feature

WhatsApp AI chatbot for business, trained on your knowledge base

WhatsApp AI answers from your knowledge base, with human handoff controls.

BotPulsar AI agents retrieve relevant content from your knowledge base to answer WhatsApp customer questions. Configured tools can look up orders or call your APIs. You can test answers before deployment and set confidence and human handoff controls. AI agents and copilot are included from Pro at ₹1,999/month, billed monthly, subject to usage limits.

What's included

AI agents and copilot, in detail

AI agents with RAG

Support, sales, qualification, booking and order agents grounded in your own knowledge base with retrieval-augmented generation.

Tool calling

Let agents look up orders, check availability and call your APIs inside a conversation, with every action audited.

Agent copilot

Suggested replies, rewrite, translate, summarise, tone control and next-best- action for human agents.

Evaluation and safe handoff

Test agents against scenario suites before they go live, with bounded memory and explicit human-handoff rules.

AI agent from your website

Paste your website address and BotPulsar reads the pages and drafts an AI agent grounded in them. It stays a draft until you review the answers and publish it.

Can I connect my own ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Gemini API key?

Yes. Paste an OpenAI or Google Gemini API key in AI Agents, pick a model, and BotPulsar checks the key before saving it. Your agents and the inbox copilot then answer on that model, and the provider bills its usage to your own OpenAI or Google account. Only the last four characters of the key are shown again after saving.

A free Gemini key works for testing, but Google rate-limits it, so reading a large website into the knowledge base can take a few retries. Disconnecting a key pauses the agents that use it rather than leaving customers without a reply path.

How to set up a WhatsApp AI support agent

Start with a connected WhatsApp number and a plan that includes AI. Website quick start creates a knowledge base and a draft agent; adding a website does not immediately turn on customer replies.

  1. Add your website or knowledge sources, wait for processing and review the content. Keep policies, opening hours and product information current.
  2. Set the agent's goals, prohibited claims, confidence threshold and escalation destination. Connect only the tools it needs for actions such as an order lookup.
  3. Test a question covered by your sources, a question with no supported answer and a request to speak to a person. Review answers, citations and the handoff destination before deployment.
  4. Deploy the reviewed version, monitor conversations and update the knowledge when business facts change. Use human takeover when a conversation needs a person.

A support handoff test to run before launch

Use your actual returns policy for this test. Ask, 'What is the return window?' Check that the answer matches the published policy and cites the correct source. Then ask for an exception that the policy does not cover: the agent should escalate rather than invent approval. Finally ask to speak to a person and verify that the handoff reaches the intended team.

BotPulsar escalates when the model requests it, confidence falls below your threshold, or a factual answer lacks a knowledge citation. Human takeover pauses automated AI replies. Retrieval and confidence checks reduce unsupported answers, but cannot guarantee accuracy: a cited source can be outdated or misunderstood. Review failures and retest after changes.

AI agents can send automated replies after deployment. Copilot instead provides suggestions, rewrites and summaries for a person working in the inbox. Choose the workflow according to whether a human should review each response.

FAQ

AI agents and copilot: common questions

Does the WhatsApp AI agent make up answers?

AI can still make mistakes. Retrieval-augmented generation uses your knowledge base, and confidence and citation checks can trigger human handoff, but these do not guarantee an accurate answer. Keep sources current and test unsupported questions as well as normal requests before going live.

Can the AI agent take actions, not just answer questions?

Yes, through tool calling. Agents can look up an order, check availability or call your own APIs inside a conversation, with every action logged for audit.

When does a conversation get handed off to a human agent?

The agent escalates when the model requests handoff, its confidence is below your threshold, or a factual answer has no knowledge citation. You can configure the destination team, queue or agent, and a person can take over from the inbox. Test explicit customer requests for a human as part of your setup.

What does the AI agent copilot do for human agents, not just bots?

It works alongside a human agent in the same inbox: suggested replies, rewrite, translate, summarise, tone control and next-best-action, so a human agent still closes the conversation but with less typing from scratch.

What kinds of AI agents can I build on BotPulsar?

Support, sales, qualification, booking and order agents, all grounded in your own knowledge base through retrieval-augmented generation rather than a single generic bot persona.

Which plans include AI agents and the copilot?

AI copilot and AI agents with RAG and tool calling are included on the Pro and Business plans. Pro starts at ₹1,999/month when billed monthly. AI request and token limits apply; Meta messaging charges and applicable taxes are additional. Starter and Growth do not include AI agents or copilot.

Does the AI agent remember the whole conversation history forever?

No, agents run with bounded memory rather than unlimited context, and every tool call the agent makes is logged for audit, which keeps behaviour predictable and reviewable.
