List message
An interactive WhatsApp message that opens a scrollable menu of options when tapped. It supports more choices than reply buttons, grouped into labelled sections.
One term from the WhatsApp Business Platform glossary. Last updated 2026-07-25.
Reply buttons cap out at three options. When a customer needs to choose from a service catalogue, a branch location or a set of appointment slots, a list message carries the choices in labelled sections behind a single tappable prompt.
Each row returns a stable identifier rather than its display text, so an automation can branch on the identifier and the visible wording can be changed later without breaking the flow behind it.
