WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)
The asset inside Meta Business Manager that owns your WhatsApp phone numbers, message templates and quality ratings. Because the WABA stays in your name, you can move between providers without losing your number.

A WhatsApp Business Account is a container, not a login. It holds one or more phone numbers, every message template those numbers have had approved, the quality rating Meta assigns each number, and the messaging limit tier the account currently sits in.
Because the WABA lives in the business's own Meta Business Manager, a provider is granted access to it rather than owning it. That is the single fact that makes provider migration low-risk: re-pointing a number to a new platform leaves the number, the approved templates and the accumulated quality history intact. Any vendor that claims a business would lose its number by leaving is describing a restriction of its own making, not a Meta rule.
