Business verification
Meta's process of confirming a business is a real legal entity, using registration documents. It is a prerequisite for higher messaging limits and for green tick review.

Verification is done in Meta Business Manager by submitting incorporation or registration documents and proof of a business phone number or address. The legal name on the documents must match what is entered in Business Manager exactly.
It is separate from the green tick. Verification confirms the entity exists; Official Business Account status is a further, discretionary decision by Meta based on brand notability. Verification is required before the second is even considered.
